What To Look For In P30?

What should I look for in the P30 to see if its 5spd? I know that its in the last digits. And if it will fit my b16a 95?

yes, that is the ecu for that generation b16.

is it a jdm or usdm ecu?

The last 3 will be....


North American model


(Letter)(Number)(Number)

The letter can be A, C or L

The first number will be either 0 or 5. 0=manual; 5=automatic

The last number is the firmware revision. 0, 1 or 2


Other than North America model

(Letter)(Number)(Number)

The letter can be J, G or E

The first number will be either 0 or 5. 0=manual; 5=automatic

The last number is the firmware revision. 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4

OR

(Number)(Number)(Number)

The first number will be either 0 or 9. 0=manual; 9=automatic

The second number will usually be a 0

The third number is the firmware revision. 0 or 1 will be here.


Examples:

USDM P30 manual transmission - 37820-P30-A02
USDM P30 auto transmission - 37820-P30-A51


EURO P30 (shortbox) manual transmission - 37820-P30-G00
JDM P30 (shortbox) auto transmission - 37820-P30-901

aome of the jdm ECu's are physically longer than the usdm ones.

is there a jdm p30 5 spd ecu? What are the numbers to that one? will the 99-00 SI work on my 95 SiR2? Ill be using 95 EX engine harness.

Yes there is a JDM 5speed P30.

Don't know the numbers.

The plugs are different on the ECU side between OBD I and OBD II( B ).

its the other way around. jdm ecus are shorter.
