I have a 84 1.5l CRX. I can't figure out if it's a DX, HF, or SI. I already read the first GEN FAQ and am still a little unclear. My VIN is JHMAF5338ES026538

According to the 1st gen FAQ the first 3 in my vin should be either a 1, 2, or 4 which is where the confusion starts. Then it says if the engine serial number plate is on the passenger side then I have a SI, but I don't see any fuel injection lines to the cylinders and it looks like a carb under the air cleaner. TIA for any help :)
 
it is pretty simple to figure out, you have a 1.5l motor. Does the intake maifold say DPFI if so it is a DX. If it has 4 injectors it is an HF.
 
It does not have injectors that I can see, it looks like a carb under the air cleaner.
