the question is should I buy a new i860 or should I get a temporary phone and wait for the i930 to come out within the next month or two?

Not really sure about function differences yet since nextel wont release any info on it.

Dont get the 860 or 930... camera phones are a waste. Get the i830 like me. It is slim and small and gets good reception and affordable... now. But when i boughit it was 300  . If not wait for the 930. I am not impressed with the 860 at all The only thing that is cool about it is that it has a button to open the phone itself.

My friend works for boost mobile. He has the i930 early release. That phone is F*n phatty boom-blatty. Slim, nice screen, great reception.

I have the i730 but the 860 is sick I have not checked out the i930 yet.
Go with the i860 save a little cash, that i930 is going to be like $700 or so.

i730. they are half price right now. and it does just about everything the i860 does, only its larger, and the battery lastsd longer.

in late 2005, motorla is supopsed to be releaseing a phone for nextel which doubles as a TalkAbout. you can ppt to people near you (2-3miles) even if you don't have service.
AWESOME for road trips in the sticks.

or you could wait until the merger between nextel and sprint. they will offer more phones and better phones for around the same price.

welp that settles it for me.... fuck the 930

:hmm: wonder if you can put linux on it :hmm:

i love how all you guys are so against anyting microsoft.... to be completely honest, ive never had a virus, never gotten a spyware virus pop up thingee, had my computer crash, had programs fuck up....etc etc...

that's cuz you aren't a power user. :p

windows is fine for the noaml dude who runs a browser and a chat program.

but me, i RARELY have less than 10-15 taskbar programs open, and at least 5 running in the background.

^^^ lol, why do you have some many things running? what are you doing that causes you to have 10+ programs open and running?

rarely. when i have porn on, everything else is closed :p

i just use 234124 things.

aim, firefox, thunderbird, azereus, 2 virus scanners, cpu monitoring software, and a couple other things are just about ALWAYS on.

thanks for all oppinions pretty set on buyin the 860
