will a 16 valve head work with 8 valve pistons

hey guys, i was wondering, if i was to put a 00 ex head on a crx hf block

[8 valve], will the valves and pistons collide due to the fact that the 8 valve

pistons only have 2 notches instead of four

yes and no.

a 16 valve head will work on an 8 valve motor/piston... however, due to the lift of the ex cam, it will hit the piston.
