what program do you use to rip dvds? ive seen a few programs that really fuck things up for the optical drives in the registry.

this upper/lower filters fix was one of the most common fixes i performed while i worked at geek squad. can fix kb/mouse issues too.

Still using DVD Decrypter for most things- it throws an error when closing the program, but it works fine for almost everything I've tried. DVDFab works for most everything else, Blu-Rays too.

calesta, mine does it too. i changed the compatibility settings to mirror XPSP3 and all is well.

Only "fix" is remote desktop? I've kept my computer up to date so may already have it.

stumbled on my first "issue".

SP1 borked my wireless printer install. i never noticed cause i rarely print stuff. i had to fully uninstall everything, then reinstall. its all working now though.
