Hi everyone!
I just picked up a 96 Civic with a 98 Gsr swap in it 2 weeks ago... The guy told me it needed a valve job and nothing more, so I drove out of state for 2 days to pick it up. Got back home to find out the motor is nearly blown...
Anyways, I am trying to find a good engine... Bone stock (just because its cheaper for me to buy), just want it to have good compression numbers and be legit... Head and block only, as I have everything else I need it good shape...
I am in Phoenix, but if you have something, let me know...
Also, I will be looking to get rid of this one once it is pulled, do people buy these things to be built/rebuilt? It's a 98 Gsr with supposedly 70k on it. It needs rings and a valve job. It is in the car now and is my daily driver, but I don't know how long it will last...
Compression is about 170-180 across, except for the cylinder with the bad valve seal (did a wet test to confirm)
