I know I have 2 sets, one set from a ZC and one set from a D16A1. I haven't checked them out in a while so hopefully they aren't pitted with rust. I'll let you know thier condition tomorrow or something. Which set would you be more interested in?hello all, as you can tell i am looking for a set of DOHC PM7 ZC camshafts. they are technically for a 86-89 Integra JDM ZC, but any DOHC PM7 ZC cams should work for this application. please let me know what you have. thanks
i'd have to go look at them. I'll see if they got a pm7 stamp or something on them but they are actually in a D16a1 head right now lol my friend was runnning them in his D16a1 before he spun a bearing.hey, yeah, that would be great. i would be interested in the ZC set. they are going in my d16a1 as a slight upgrade, i currently have the d16a1 cams so i wouldnt have much of a use for the d16s. the zc cams however, must be out of a PM7 DOHC ZC to work with my swap. what information could you give me to verify this?
thanks
is the head black top (electronic advance) or brown top (vaccuum advance)? i would need a black top head, as that is what my current motor is. what all is included? is it a whole head package or a bare head? and i assume that would come with the cams? do you have any kind of papers or anything showing the work that was done on the head? thanksi'd have to go look at them. BTW- the D16a1 head that the ZC cams are in is ported and polished. Would you be interested in the head? The head is just taking up space, $200 shipped, it's yours.
I'm not entirely sure, my friend got the head through another one of our friend's co-workers who was a tech at Valencia Acura so I don't know if it's a vacuum advance or eletronic advance head. The head is complete except there are no manifolds and it has no valve cover. Has complete valve train and all sensors. I have no paper work for the head. I can give you the number to the machine shop that did the work so you can verify if you like. Oh and it will come with the bigger D16A1 cam gears, the ZC's are smaller.is the head black top (electronic advance) or brown top (vaccuum advance)? i would need a black top head, as that is what my current motor is. what all is included? is it a whole head package or a bare head? and i assume that would come with the cams? do you have any kind of papers or anything showing the work that was done on the head? thanks
everything is stock inside the head. I know for a fact it has a 3 angle valve job. The intake manifold was port matched to the head but i'm not sure how much over stock they took it. I actually sold that intake manifold to someone on here who had a D16A6 and we both thought it would fit on his head but it didn't so he's looking to sell it.about the pics.. a pic from above and one of the distributor cap would probably do just fine.
a few more questions:
will i have to take the intake and exhaust manifolds and have them port matched to the head or was all of that left at stock specs?
when the head work was done, were the internals replaced or are they still the originals?
thanks
well as soon as he spun the bearing we ripped off the head to make sure it was ok so I just have the head, sorry. We actually put it in a 90 CRX. We used the stock CRX driver side mount with the D16A6 engine bracket. We had to drill a second hole in the brack so two holes lined up to go to the block and only one hole lined up for the motor mount but we used a grade 8 bolt just to be on the safe side because I think the stock bolts are a grade 5.could you either point me in the direction of the guy with the IM or send him to me? if you dont mind me asking, what did you sell it to him for? so i know what to expect to pay.
as for the pics, if you could get me a shot of the side of the block (where the dizzy used to be) i should be able to tell if it is a black top or brown. btw, what car did he have it on? if it was out of a g1 integra by chance, i can figure it out depending upon the year it was. thanks
no, you don't need to do anything to the head to get it to run. We never actually checked to see if the head is warped but i'm 99% sure it's still ok because when it started to knock, it was idling, he wasn't driving and/or racing. Also, when we pulled of the head and looked underneath the head at the valves, there was no sign of the piston crashing into the valves or any part of the combustion chamber. On top of all that, the rod was still attached to the crank.but the head is still untouched right? you didnt have to do any modifying on it to get it to work right?
i was just wondering if you could take a pic of it (when you have time) from the side of the head that the dizzy used to be on. basically there is a sensor on that side that will let me know which year motor it was, so i know whether the head will work in my car or not.
have you checked the head to make sure it didnt get warped or anything like that?
thanks
I have an entire dohc BLACK TOP zc odb1 with pistons and rods and a little thingie on the front I like to call "The Boost-Maker". Sitting in the rear of my uncle's shop cause I decided to go b-series turbo. Woohah!
hopefully this afternoon, if not, then friday afternoon for sure. If you need this stuff right away, don't hesitate to buy what you need from someone else, I understand how it is when you want your car up and runnning so don't feel like you're obligated to buy from me.cool. if you could get some pics of it. and check the cams to make sure they are still fine that would be great. when do you think will be the next chance you have to look at it? thanks
ditto.pics and parts list on this bitch
