i heard there is something you have to do to make a y8 manifold to work on a d15 block....

how easy is it to get a sir2 tb to go on a y8 manifold?
 
You can put any SOHC D series manifold on any >'01 SOHC D series head, and any >'01 D series SOHC head on any >'01 SOHC D series block. They're like tinker toys. It all fits.
 
i know it will bolt up but i was told there was something else
 
Which D15 are you talking about? The 8 valve or the 16 valve? If it's the 16 valve, no problem. If it's the 8 valve, don't bother; the ports in the head are circular instead of oval, and are about half the size of the 16 valve.
 
i think the y8 manifold on a automatic is diffent and that will cause you problems if you dont have a auto
