Hello everyone, I recently picked up a 1995 Civic 2dr EX and I have about 6 grand to put into it when I sell my other car. I want to do a B-series swap, possibly JDM and chip the ECU (VTEC hits at ~4500 etc). From there I am considering N/A tuneup stuff or turboing it (turbo would prolly be a custom setup, with at garett T28 or other turbo running at stage 1 boost) I would also want to change the wheels to a decent set of 17" rims and possibly a body kit, but I dont want to be TOO ricey B) . From there I really dont know what I should do, but I want to focus on building horespower, but not to the point that the car would not be daily-driveable or unreliable. Anyway, I am fairly mechanicly savy but new to modding honda's, so any and all advice would be great!

hey, first off... welcome to hondaswap. now no offence, but it dosen't sound like you know exactly what you're talking about. a T28 is a pretty small turbo, and "stage 1 boost" means nothing. stage one according to what? anyways, i'm not tryin' to put you down or anything, so please don't get offensive. i'm here to learn too :) . in my opinion, 17's are a 'lil too big for a civic. 15's would be my choice, but 16's would be acceptable also. with 17's they start to get a bit too heavy and have quite a bit more rotational mass than the 15's would... both of which will slow you down. body kits are usally frowned upon around here, but just keep it under control and take care of the performance stuff first. i think a nice subtle, clean lip kit would look nice on a 5th gen coupe. as for what swap... i think that a GSR would be the ideal swap, it will cost ~$3,000. then you'll have a few more G's to get some wheels, suspension and more performance parts. with that bugdet, after wheels and suspension, a turbo kit/build is pretty much out of the question, or at least a worth while turbo kit. but i say, do the GSR swap, get some wheels/tires and suspension and then figure out what you wanna do next when you get there.

and by the way... good choice on the car  .

I say forget the body kit and big rims and spend that money to build your b16. After your done buliding your engine ask your self if you still want a body kit that wont make you go any faster or turn any better.
