Hey all,
So today, I am stopped at a stop lite in NYC in the S14. Its a sunny day, no rain/coulds etc.
The lite turns green, and the car ahead of me puts itself in reverse and slams into the front of my car.
To make a long story short, I got the other drivers info, called the cops, told em what happened, they filed a police report (other driver agreed with my synopsis of what happened - told the cops she was trying to parralel park and didnt see me), etc.
Now here is my problem. I do not have colission coverage. . . yet, i am not at fault and my car needs to be fixed.
I filed a claim thru the other driver's insurance carrier (Geico). They asked me to fax over a copy of the police report which i plan to do asap.
Will the other driver's insurance pay me to fix my car? I have never been in an accident where I did not have colision coverage.
Basically, how do I come out of this situation with a car that is fixed w/out paying for it? I always get skrewed in these situations. Should I file a claim in small claims court?
Thanks all. Its always appreciated.

my friend used to work at the biggest body shop in town before he moved to Texas and he told me the same shit. They (insurance) will only pay for what is needed, not what you'd like them to do. Therefore, the body shop will only do what they are getting paid for.
they repainted my whole STi when it was in. and the doors were fine...
