The f22b1 can't handle very much boost be careful about 5 pounds give or take

wait your saying you using the non-vtec when you have a v-tec you can use you know you can put the b2 tranny onthe b1 motor right????

check your o2 sensor

use an f22b1 block and h22a1 head this is what you need to do it you need the h22a1 water pump and timing belt and header the rest is very is basic get a head gasket for both heads to use to line up the head and the block there will be ports in the head that do not line up but it's ok just plug...

if none of the rest of that works check the plunger in the v-tec selonoid and make sure it's not stuck

look i own a 94 accord with the f22b1 and differance between the two is vtec and non vtec you really don't need to change much to do the swap, and i would not buy that engine i would just swap the head for the vtec head and yes they do make a cam for it, and no i have never heard of a cam called...

okay well if the new fan doesn't work i would at least check the water pump if nothing on that i would check my lines because you when you rev the temp goes down witch points toward the flow of coolant in your system, just an idea

d series and f series don't swap out the f22b1 is an ok engine and you should get a good bit of torque from it i would use a h22a1 tranny with it the gears are shorter than the f22b1 it's all your trying get torque or top speed

what type of swap did you do was just the head or what or did you pistons with it i need more info

i wouldn't do it

try and pull a cover from a junk yard it's a common car and cost next to nothing if not i would buy a haynes manual and you WILL be covered

the swap should go rather simple, the engine should mount up no problem, but you may need a sub harness for your vtec or you may be able to reprogram the ecu depending on the uea rand model, the tranny from civic hatch should bolt up no problem as well

it can be done, you can put a h22a1 head on a f22b1 block but you will need the water pump and timing belt from the h22
