just a thought but if the ecu is not getting the correct speed readings wouldnt that keep vtec from engauging also. try cleaning it like posted and c if that helps

good thinking this is a very good start to fixing the problem i had the same problem and it was air in my coolant and my idle control sensor needed replacing.

u can put integra rods and pistons in it but that is not recomended for a turbo setup because it bumps your compresion very high like up to 12.5:1 also its better to go with the newer model head because of the square combustion chamber and it allows better combustion and ignition of the fuel...

well the hatch my boy bought was stolen in japan and shipped over here and the motor that was in it is in my hatch and srry 2 confuse u monster but i do have a gsr ecu to my single and its programed 2 skunk2 spec its not actually a ecu that skunk2 carries but all that matters is its very strong...

no man your not out of luck me and my boys recentally tried using a gsr ecu on his single turbo car and its works great i would suggest that. I have a skunk2 gsr ecu 2 my J-SPEC D16Z6 and its very strong. Good Luck man I Holla
