what a waste. I know 4 10s cars that drive everyday. I know 3 11s that drive everyday. And even more 12s cars. In fact i drive a 94 hb that runs 12.4 stock gsr motor and 10lbs of boost. It makes 290 at the wheels. And Ive only spent 3grand building it. Yes to run 10s you need the cash but 11s...
ok. I got a set of crower rods I bot awhile back. But I forgot what they are for. I was told they are gsr rods but they had b20 pistons on them. How can I tell the diff. there is no numbers on the rods. I need a end to end size or some then. The look close to the ls eagle rods I have. But I dont...
if its not doing it till it warms up you may have air in the radiator still. Let it run with the rad cap off and see if it drops up n down with the idle. The vac problem should do it from the get go. But you can pinch a vac line to check for it.
if he blows the motor with high boost more then likely something is going to go threw the turbo. If you wanna blow it just get nitrous. It works ever time, just find someone and get them to let you borrow your bottle. But Im with sol on this one. Sell it then get a gsr head!
b20lsv is the only pistons swap you have to do. Plus in the end you must decide what your going to do in the long run. Turbo/nitrous or all motor. You dont have to get a wirring harness. You can do it yourself. Its really not that hard and can save a few bucks in the end
there is a company that makes a block plate for a b16. A block plate gives you the extra deck height to stroke it to a 1.8 using stock ls crank and rods. But the damn thing cost just as much as a stroker kit for a b16. So you may as well get the stroker kit.
trust me its way easyer to just get the harness. Its plug and play and you run the wires to the o2 from the new jumper. I wired my own harness once and will never do it again. It just takes to much time and when somethen go's wrong to many things to look up. Plus no matter how good you make it...
one you need a map. It will run but I wouldnt try. You can use the crx ecu but yes it would be better to go with a integra ecu. Next the type r ecu wont work unless you convert the car to an newer obd. And run vtec. Also yes you can use the obd1 integra ls distributor but youll have to cut the...
Id say mabey the map sen... You said you checked the ecu did you try switching it with another. Or mabey not all the plugs are firing? Sorry cant think with out looking at it
yes it is easyer to swap the whole thing if your going to use the tegs dash parts. I did the same thing. i did an 94 dash so I had to cut a lot more stuff out. I dont remember but i think you have to use the tegs fuse box on the dash. I belive the the rest of the cars wirring like fuel harness...
ok frist you really need to be over at www.redpepperracing.com. People here dont know jack about 3rd/1st gens! Ive leared that! Im doing the same thing but Im going ahead with efi. You dont have to buy a carb manifold. Some people have just cut there manifolds and used rubber cups to hold them...
it can be done. My hatch is running 290 to the wheels. I built a turbo kit cuz most out there dont give you what you need. Fuel- and management. This is the most importnt. Im running neptune with a t3 57trim turbo and a 255 fuel pump and 1000cc injectors. You dont need that big of injectors. Im...
if thats you main concern then do a lsv. You get the best of both worlds.
If some one built a lsv with the same parts as the b16 you want. And both of you were good drivers the lsv should come out on top. The b16 is a good motor. What it lacks in torque it makes up for in fast revving. But a...
as for buliding it. the lsv has a higher compersion then a gsr. The red line going to be what ever ecu you use. The heads were you wanna work if your worried about reving. Valves and springs. If your willing to build the bottem end. A good set of rods and pistons and a block guard is about all...
