well my car got rearended so its been sitting in my driveway all winter (about 2 months or so) in hardcore snow and cold without being driven , i just got it and drove it back from the shop today let the motor warm up all that and drove it home and it just feels a heck of a lot slower like...

Im clueless to ignition as well. What exactly are colder running plugs and why does it help to retard the timing a little? Would you advance the timing for an all motor car as opposed to one with forced induction such as nitrous or turbo when you retard the timing :shrug2:

ahh ok well thanx for the help right now im playing with some options and my eyes are opened quite a bit more ive went from wanting to supercharge to thank god being talked out of it, turbocharging is still a strong option for me if i can get out of being poor and get a new job well anyways thanx

well assuming i want to keep my stock compression and in doing that just run a minimal amount of boost ..at least as long as i can..where exactly can i obtain parts, i live in suburban nowhere and there literally , believe it or not, is not a shop that will work on turbocharged vehicles anywhere...

i might be able to splurg and spend maybe as much as 3 but this is goin to be a daily driven car and the highest ill see it is 15 lbs if even that much

i have a 96 gsr and am intrested in turbocharging it i have a few questions one is if i can get a ''budget'' turbo set up from scratch for about 1500 dollars and if not what the best kit for the money is generally also ive heard so many horror stories about turbocharged hondas if i do , do i...

ahh i see , well i suppose all considering i'll just save up and prepare to drop in a standalone or perhaps a more friendly plug and play system, my pockets arent deep but my brand new teg just got rear ended and my back hurts so ...haha well anyone have anyexpereinces with the aem plug-and-play...

if vafc and switching chips both arent very smart to do what can i do with the elcectronics of the car , perhaps run hondata, or maybe that plug and play aem system i have a laptop so that is a possibility for me to do ..i hope i dont sound too green here but i really do know nothing about...

ahh i see now....perhaps my stock motor until i build it slightly would benefit more from a more general ecu chip upgrade and of course some basic bolt ons before i move on to this eventually

im extremely new , but i always assumed the earlier vtec engaged the more power engine produced .? now im confused lol
