Ok I have done the above swap. The car is obd2a I have got the conversion harness and converted it back to obd1. Running a p28 ecu.
Car will not start.
Its not getting a pulse at the injectors. I can spray wd40 into the intake and it will run as long as I do this so I know the motor is...
Ok i put a b18c4 gsr motor into an eg. 94 civic. I have put a skunk 2 intake manifold on it as well.
The motor is in and running, But it wont idle right. It goes from 2500rmp to 5000rpm and just flucuates between these figures. Its also blowing lots of blue smoke out of the back while its...
The motor will drop in no probs. You need to have the b series mounts for it and job done.
The loom from your ej8 will need to be used on the b series. You'll need to move a couple sensors and change a few plugs on it though.
There isn't a spot for swaps into these as it may not be that popular of a swap. Just looking for some input. The odyssey has a f23 from stock with an automatic. The f22 came in some acords and preludes so the set up in the bay must be similar as I have a prelude intake kit fitted to it now...
I have put a 93 gsr engine in a 99 civic ex, I use the ex loom on the GSR motor. I have converted it so all the plugs are in the right location and repined what was needed for it to work.
So I go to start it and nothing. I am not getting 12volts at the ecu. The main relay is not clicking over...
Ok I am doing a swap. The car had a D16y8 single cam vtec. I have a 95 B16a2 which was obd1. I have converted it to obd2a and I am using the wiring harness from the D16y8.
Problem is there is no knock sensor on the back of the B16 like there normally is. Is there a by pass wiring trick for...
If the fuel pumps not priming then thats why no fuel. You may need to run a 12v switch source to the fuel pump to activate it. I have done this on a 99 civic with a d16z6 in it.
Is your fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition on. Check that first. If your not getting spark it could be the coil in the dizzy. Alot of times if you check the plugs by grounding them out you can pop the coil pack. Should use a plug tester to be safe.
All JDM motors have no numbers after. Your B16 if its obd1 or obd2 will be a b16a2 in the USA or UK. If its obd0 meaning its from a 90 or 91 crx then its a b16A1.
Hope that helps.
