So your repinning up the obd1 ecu plugs with an obd2a wireharness? Let me figure out how to ask this, the wires your "matching these up with" Were they in the car originally or did you get it with the new engine? Why not just buy a new wire harness?

Ive never delt with obd2b before but if tis a a2 it came from an obd2b civic, whereas your car was a obd2a, so i dont know if obd2b changed ecu plugs and also removed the driverside plug, but run your stock y8 wiring harness. Im using my stock y7 harness and added the wiring for vtec myself...

Are you throwing any codes? And if so what are they? Second just for giggles take the solenoid wire and extend it to the positive battery terminal and touch it against it, you should hear it click, (with the car off).

Just to see if it works try taking the whole vtec assembly off your a2 and put on the b and use your a2 ecu and see if itll engage.

160k, replace the bottom end, its your rings. I had only 135 k on my previous stock engine and an old lady owned the car ebfore me and that ho smoked bad. Ide jsut swap bottom ends, if not the whole engine. Go to your local car yard and price out how much it would be for a complete engine.
