    boreing a ls to 82mm?

When you change your cams or your compression you change cranking pressure. Since the intake cam keeps the intalve valve open slightly passed bottom dead center, some compression is bled off during the compression stroke. The result is less compression than your static compression (this is...

    boreing a ls to 82mm?

Thats going to undercam the motor like crazy. 11.6:1 CR is the sweet spot for 404's.

    boreing a ls to 82mm?

A little bit of displacement goes a long way. Keep in mind the difference in torque between a B18B and a B18C1/5 Thats a difference of 37cc's Going from 81.5mm to 82mm is almost as big a change. I don't know if I would rev past 8000rpm on stock sleeves opened up that much, but I wouldn't say...

How to port a JDM ITR header

Don't forget that the whole inside is going to be covered in carbon anyways, so surface texture isn't going to make much of a difference.

    GSR VS ITR

   The factory ITR port job is junk. Most head porters would rather get a stock B16 head than try and revive a ITR head. They simply remove too much material and in the wrong places on the ITR head. Most of the gains from the ITR head are because of the...

    Honing a Honda block

The helms manual specifically says that a hone is not necissary unless there are vertical scratches. I know several people that have installed new pistons with out honing and have perfect compression.

    Frame Lock Review

Actually some have noticed simimlar results as a byproduct of installing traction bars, since most traction bars include a large bar that attaches to the lower radiator support (which is the load bearing section of the front chassis). The large bar braces the same relative area as the frame...

suspension guru i need some help

Keep the front sway bar attached, removing it gets rid of a lot of camber control. Running a small amount of toe out in front, (1/8th total toe, or 1/16th toe out per side) will help you gain more traction up front (and thus allowing the rear to come out sooner).

Which would be a problem if you didn't have piston rings.

Why would a forged piston score the stock sleeves?

    What makes the power?

I would like to note that on VTEC heads, in most cases the idle is hardly effected due to the ability to run low duration nonvtec lobes and high duration vtec lobes. Less duration in the lower end technically makes more power anyways.

    What makes the power?

More lift tends to increase the peak WHP, where duration tends to shift the powerband upwards. (and as you move peak torque higher in the RPM band, it creates more HP due to the age old equation HP = Torque * RPM / 5252). The reason some cam manufactures choose to have less duration, is because...
