Except there is no USDM 1.5L with vtec. But I got an answer somewhere else. Y8 head gasket and Z6 parts. Except for maybe some vtec-e.

Where can you get OEM parts like gaskets and such for the JDM D15B?

I'm having trouble finding D16Z6's. Noyan has D15B's with transmissions for $300. While on ebay the D16Z6 is going for much higher.

:huh: D15B is 1.5L (note the 15 in D15B). And the LS is DOHC non-vtec. The motor I'm asking about is SOHC vtec. edit: and B18B's are 1.8L

I meant the jdm sohc D15B rated at around 130ish hp.

Google search Noyan USA. This place in Manassas, VA caries JDM D15B's with transmissions for $300. I don't know if it really is a good deal because their warranty on miscelaneous parts it non-existent, but there is a 6 month unlimited mile warranty on the internals of the engine. How does the...

I just saw on an engine sales site that they sell engines for track use only and not road use, does that mean some of the engines aren't street legal? Would a JDM H22A be one of these?

I have been looking at these two beasts, I don't see how installing a B series would be any better than an H22A, other than the fact that I would be hard pressed for room for any future upgrades. Sorry if I seem stubborn, I just can't see why I would want a B16 like everyone else around...

alright thanks thats the kind of answer I was looking for :) and with a B series engine I will have enough room for a super or turbo a little later, correct? also I'm finding H22A swaps for around $2000-2400 whereas comparable B's are twice the price.

can you explain the features and drawbacks of the B series and H series please?

I don't plan on racing it, it just doesn't have any go as it is right now. And if I was older I wouldn't be driving a Civic.
