I agree, they are factors. Just not significant. If I understand his thread right, he is wanting to know why he cant run his b16/gsr ecu with a b18 motor.
Where compression ratio is a factor/significant?
I suppose unclear questions will get unclear answers.
b16 1600cc b18 1800cc
Most commonly a larger displacement will have larger pistons;)
compression ratio is not entirely significant in this case.
Neither is running a (gsr)vtec ECU on a non vtec motor.
Need a diz for a y7 motor. Even if it needs a rebuild.
Needs to be from a 96-98 obd2 motor NOT 99-00 OBD2B.
The connector will have 10 pins and is square, not rectangle.
Reasonably priced please. I will email you a prepaid shipping label.
Take a look at the pic. Again, I need the square...
Ascertain the Main Relay functions properly. Very common for 4th Gen civics.
When you turn the key to the "ON" position, you should hear 2 clicks from the relay. Alot of the time, the 2nd click will not happen, and you will not get spark or fuel delivery. There is a good write up somewhere on this.
Which ECU are you running with that Z6? It should be a P28.
The ECU that was stock for the VX motor or any d15 will throw you error signals all day. I couldnt imagine it would run like it is supposed to either.
