i have a d16a6 with a y8 head built for turbo. i also have a stock obd2 d16y8 with a blown bottom end. can i swap the crank/ rods and pistons from the d16a6 into the d16y8 to make the d16y8 turboable?
i have a 90 si hatch with a 91 b18a1, had the engine in for a few months now but since day one its had a cold idle of around 3000 rpm. i really dont think its supposed to be that high but i could be wrong. the car idles just fine at 700 rpm when warmed up, ive cleaned the iacv and replaced the...
it's a 90 si hatch with a 91 b18a1, new dizzy, new sparkplugs, new wires, new fuel filter, straight swap, engine has DC 4-2-1 headers, no cat, 2inch pipes into a flowmaster muffler, grounds are good (no paint/rust)
what is an "Orig pump"
jumping the conector under the glovebox didn't change the timing on the light. isn't the tdc pointer supposed to move from the red line to the white line when you remove the conector? the tdc pointer stayed on the red line with or without the conector jumper
cruising at highway speed 3000-3500 rpm the engine surges about 50 rpm every 2 seconds or so. it seems to have a rythem to it. the engine seems to run good otherwise. it has done it since the install (90si h/b) about 3 weeks ago. any ideas anybody?
yeah i did everything propper like, got is sorted, turns out it needed to be loaded up to get that extra bit of heat into it, 20 min idle wasn't enough

my 1991 integra cable appears to be just a tad too short as i have the adjuster nut backed all the way off and its not releasing the arm into free play, the tranny is an unidentifiable '92 or '93 tranny (found that much out the expensive way, goddam splines!!).

im building a stock b18a1 ef si with dc 4-2-1 header and dynomax DNX mid pipe and flowmaster muffler. i want to eliminate my cat but i'm not sure if i should make a custom pipe or if there is a test pipe that will fit in place with no mods. anyone done this/ know what i should do?
is the map sensor on the tb plugged in? if not then the plug you are looking for isn't on the engine harness, it breaks out around the passenger shock tower/ fusebox, its a 3 pin plug with a green/white, white and yellow/red wires
yeah i just compared the '91 clutch kit i bought to the same spec clutch kit from the same manufacturer for the '92 and '93 and the only difference is the disc itself. i don't know why i didn't think to do that first

cut the bolt with a hacksaw between the shock and lca bushing, once cut (you might need to do both sides) it will seperate, replace the bushing, dont bother trying to get the bolt out of the bushing
