no the header pin allows for easy tuning on a dyno by a tuner based on your setup. nothing else would need to be done. I agree that is correct I would never take it that high! you can always run MSD with a set rev limit or get it reset to a lower RPM you are right! I wasn't implying that is...

like most chipped ECU's they have a base map (fuel/timing) based on Mugen setup, it has the header pin so it can be tuned, as you should do with any swap/build if you want the most out of your specific build. I didn't load the base map......I got for a D16Z6 (similar to D15B) but ended up doing...
