The other day when i start my car it had a jumping idle. I figured it was the iacv but there was no cel. When i checked for codes i got 14, 21, 22. My questions are is why doesn't it turn the cel light on to let you know something went wrong with the engine and also when the iacv goes out...

I have decided to get some new valve springs for my d16z6. I was wondering if I have to get TI retainers to go along with aftermarket valve springs. Also can you guys give me some advice on what brand to go with too.

Call up Nu Image and tell Si or Tb that they are retarded. They arn't very good. Their stuff is overpriced. Mihn and Diemen are very good shops. My friend baught some hks 264/272 cam combo for his GST from diemen for a very reasonable price. The price minh gave sound pretty good to me.
my friend has a 00 SI and it has a b18c1 and how do you tell the difference between the usdm and the jdm b18c1. People been trying to say that if it was a jdm it woild just be b18c with no number after it and the motor is stamped with b18c1.
I used my friends ecu and it did the same thing. It the revlimiter at 6500. Then my friend tried my ecu and his car went to 7600 before hitting the revlimiter. So it is not my ecu. What elso could cause my car to do that?
I took my ecu out of my car and took the cover off of it and there is no burt spots on the chip board and everything looks fine to me. The cod on the ecu is 37820-P28-A02. I am stumped.
I was reading in the reference material and it said that my ecu should have a revlimit at 7600rpm. My car hits revlimit at 6500 rpm. I have no cel or nothing. My car is a 94 civic with the d16z6 and it run fine. I was just wandering if my car is messed up or is that the stock revlimit.

I put in the correct amount in and the car is a 94 civic ex with a d16z6 and it is obd 1. There is no check engine light. It start after about 500 miles after I put the oil in. I remeber reading some where that synthetic may not enough umph to kick in vtec.
I just put in some 5w30 quakerstate advanced sythetic motor oil and my vtec is not kicking in. I was just wanting to get some suggestions on what motor oil I should use. Thanks
