are pistons tapered or are they perfectly straight on each side? im asking cuz i just got a set of JE pistons and I tried putting them in my LS block and they wouldnt fit, but if i put them in upside down (top of piston into cylinder) they go down about halfway... any help will be appreciated-paul

mines been runnning strong for about 2000miles... just use a gsr/water pump, gsr oil pump, gsr timing belt, and get some arp rodbolts, and maybe some ITR or CTR pistons for the bottom end, and you should be good block wise, make sure to use new main and rod bearings and thrust washers and check...
