if your still wondering if you have the d16y8...which you do...you can look for yourself by opening your hood, looking at the left side of your block in the front theres an engine code that will say exactly what your engine is.
so i was just hooking some stuff up like my linkage and axles and theres this blue wire that comes through my fire wall along with the spedo sensor wires which are black, from the ecu and it has a green clip on it that looks similar to the one that goes to the vtec sylenoid
if it is the rear main seal you have to drop the tranny. you dont necessarily have to drop the whole engine....just the tranny. take off the clutch and flywheel which will expose the rear main seal
is the leak on the tranny side? and if yeah...there shoul be a plate that isn't too hard to take off that is located on the bottom of the tranny. take it off and if you cant look up underneath you should take your finger and rub above the oil pan to see if it is your rear main
partially that and partially that i had people over when i was putting it together...see i cant pay attention that well when i have distractions;) hah....and yes i did :cool:
so i took off my head last night and i found that the head gasked was flipped around so that the oil galleys on the rear passenger side didn't even have gasket material around them :eek:...

dude you dont have to get all fuckin pissy with me...i didn't break in the engine yet....i built up the whole bottom end for my turbo...it hasn't even started yet!
