no yyou wouldnt because you have an OBD2 motor and ecu....my shop just but an OBD1 b16 into an OBD2 civic...it wasnt pretty..the swap was fairly simple, but they are still messing around with the wires...
i dont see the point of an f22 in a del sol. if your gonna go 2.2 liters anyways, spend the extra money and go h22. if not a b16 is another way to go, perhaps ls/vtec?
the wiring will be the problem...lowcashracing.com makes a conversion harness for like $150 that will save you a lot of time and possibly keep you from messing up the wiring. we just put an obd1 b16 into an obd2 civic, we didnt buy the conversion harness and i believe there was just over 100...
you have a few options, use a cable tranny, do a conversion kit cable to hydro. you will need to do a wire harness conversion kit, lowcashracing.com carries them
well ima stop you right now and let you know you have got to do some MAJOR wiring...OBD0 car...OBD2 motor.....ever check out the differences in ECUS and plugs? check out Lowcashracing.com..they make a conversion harness that will save you a lot of time and headaches..
go complete swap..most of the time you will find it more expensive to piece a swap together, every once in a while you will catch a good deal, but generally it is more cost effective to buy a complete swap
the swap will be easy, everything will bolt up, all you need is a rear bracket from an SI($60) from hasport. the wiring harness will plug in, since both cars are OBD2
