that is not a bad price at all, i believe we can get the motor at our shop for about $2200, plus another $350 for mounts, and $1100 to install(since it is such a big swap) total cost after all parts needed would total up to about $4000

ok, my suggestion is to pick up an OBD1 or 2 B16a, complete swap should be about $2200 shipped..i believe you will need motor mounts, and all, as for the "local shop" charging $2500 to install..take it somewhere else, our shop down in Columbus, Ga. charges $900 for a swap, this includes pulling...

it should work fine, but i would recommend a JDM Integra Type R head, it is a direct bolt on. as for me, i have an 01 civic and was looking to do a K series swap, i was going to do a K24 CRV block with a K20 Type R head, but found that because of the bore on the K24 the pistons will fuck up some...

im not sure, but check the timing, if it throws no codes then im not sure, but i know on a mini me swap sometimes it has a problem with the idle air control valve?? i might be wrong

we just got a complete jdm b16 obd0 swap. it came with motor, tranny, ecu, axles, a fucked up wiring harness, and the shift linkage. people tell me you need 93 integra axles to swap this in a crx, but if the motor came out of a jdm crx then why would different axles be needed?

we did, now that little black civic is sittin on blocks with no motor and its in a little red crx

actaully we got one sittin here..and naw that wouldnt be to much fun..now if we had obd0 b16 with obd2 tranny it wouldnt be as bad..but seriously, any idea about what axles to use?

we are a shop out of Ga and the guy brought us the Ex head and si tranny to put in.

Ok, this may be a weird one..we have a 97 civic dx we are putting an EX head on it..thats not the weird part..we are using a transmission off of an 89 crx si(D series) will we be able to use the factory 97 dx axles or will we have to use the crx axles, or will either of those work?

what year integra axles?

we just received an obd0 b16 at our shop and are about to swap it into an 89 crx. will the factory crx axles work, or will i have to get new axles, i hae heard that i will need integra axles but im not sure. :spin:

i have an 01 civic coupe. i was looking at the possible swaps for my car and was wondering, would a k24 block off of a new CRV with a new k20 Si head, or type r head work? and would it be comparable to the B20/Vtec swap?

if you are wanting to go cheap you have a few options, LS motor, B16s are fairly cheap nowadays, or you could do a mini-me(dx block with ex head) or jus an sohc vtec motor..all are relativley cheap

buy a 92-95 or my suggestion is always a CRX, in the crx, B20/Vtec head, built and sprayed. in the 92-95 B20 Longblock, GSR Tranny, Turboed

the H22 is a strong motor but i have seen Q/T slips of hatchbacks with them and they arent to impressive..

96 and up LS motor would work, especially if you want to keep the auto. im not sure but i think an OBD2 B16 would work also if you wanna convert to manual

my personal opinion would be swap out for an H22, they are everywhere and fairly inexpenisve

stick with 1st gen. it will save u time and i guess $100..
