its under the carpet on the passeger side. (under dash) you have to take off the big gold plate. 4-10mm bolts

i ran into that problem too. just found out you have to use the 89-91 and maybee the 88 si disributor with the pm6. its also better to use the 4th gen intake. guess ive gotta sell the intake and dist. off the z6! damn....oh well
