no the inlet for the turbo can not be pointing straigt up. The oil feed line needs to be between 10 and 2 oclock. if you postition the turbo like you described the oil wont drain properly and the seals and bushings will not work properly if the turbo is positioned that way.

itbs have one cable and solid linkage with heim joints they dont dtrech and get out of tune. And personaly i would never run them on my DD but would sport those things all day long on the track having tuned cars with itbs and driven them they are realyy only suited for the track as bottom...
i would assuem that you can find a good deal in the twm itbs used as all the A/M drag race guys are now switching to kinsler units because they make way more power then the old twm's If you cant find some used twms you can probaly get buy with the obx units but they suck the linkage falls apart...
ported boxes are for getto blasters and punk ass kids if you want sound quality then a properly speced sealed box is the way to go. Go to a audio competion all the guys that compete in SPL (Noise) use ported boxes and the ones that comete in SQL (quality) use sealed boxes
