yep another lsv...all 3 cars are running them. this one has a fresh rebuild from the crank up, 8lb flywheel, blox spec a cams arp all the way through and chipped ecu. hoosiers on the way. this should prove to be an interesting year at the track
the truck in the background is my brothers...
I would love to run mods too, our track runs them just not as often as the minis, plus they are a huge cost to run and maintain. I ran a 4cyl enduro in washington with a gt escort on a 3/8 paved track started 75 cars and 300 laps. I finished 10th after t-boneing a vw on lap30 when he spun in...
thanks for the air pressure hints, that'll give me start point. we almost got the eg finished up today, a little sheet metal work and it'll be ready. and the other hatch...well turns out it had a bit of a warped crank that ate the bearings at start up. crank is now back from the machine shop...
...lol its my wifes rock crawler...its not straight anymore. Swartz Canyon / Sami and Landcruiser
thanks though...lol...vids coming in mid April. Stay tuned;)
well here it is done and ready for the races...weighed it today full of fuel and ready to race....1877lbs. was shooting for 1800lbs even but this is close enough.
...as you probably saw in the background...that is my derby crx it was a 89, d15 dpi with a bad set of rings, and a complete...
thanks for the braking tips. Im sure that will help, I have no doubts about the power to weight or traction in a straight line, just was a bit concerned about gettin it to stick in the corner but it sounds like that will help. I got the decals done last night a few more touches and I'll get...
I'm guessing your suggesting those to help get the rear loose for cornering right? Since I already ordered the tires and they are all the same width, I was going to try a bit higher air pressures in the rear, and take out some of the camber in the right rear. I havent done anything with the...
yep you nailed it...to clear the huge ass intake sticking out the hood. We are all running ls-vtec motors. should have them on the track in less than a month and I'll keep some updates coming. These oughta be bad fast if we can get em' to stick in the corners and beat the understeer famous...
heres the most recent, should have decals sometime tomorrow. waiting on a few more parts so I can get some more work done:D
also for those who didnt check out the link to my website heres a couple of the 92 I think eg my buddy is building(he's the one of the 3 of us that knows Hondas)...
I talked to a machinist after I was enlightened about the timing gear part, who is going to take most of the pulley off for me and do it on a lathe so that it stays even in balance. should work, I let you know how it works out. Basically it has to run hard for 14 races then it gets rebuilt...
possibly, thats something Im going to toy with. I like the idea of the extra weight being in back toward the drivers side for weight distribution purposes. One of my buddies is building a civic hatch for the dirt, and he's going the alternator route, we'll see which works best. I was just...
not running one of them either, got a big deep cycle battery mounted in the back with a 2+ hour reserve, and will be charging between heat races and features. we run a 8 lap warm up, then a 10 lap heat, followed by a 5 lap shootout then sit for a hour or so, then a 20 min final. It should work...
