The best of luck to you.... I've been through two of those cars only to get soooo frustrated that I part them out and sell them. They are so incredibly high maintenace... I hope you're a good mechanic.
Kids.... don't make me turn this car around.
Man, the H22 vs B18 debate will never end. The H22 and B18 are a comparable swap money wise. The H22 is gonna be a tough swap for someone that doesn't know how to wrench though. I'm doing an h23/vtec in my car, so we'll see how that turns out, but...
Yes it is the exact same engine bay, and you need all the same things for the swap (i.e. axles, shift linkage and assembly, motor mounts) just like the other guy said.
Yeah the lower compression really isn't all that great of an idea unless you plan on using it for a turbo setup. There are so many variables in everyone's setup that the only real way to know is to take that hog to a dyno. It's not all that expensive and then you'll know exactly what you're...
I agree. I guess it depends what kind of horsepower figures you're looking to get out of it... then we could tell you what kinda turbo setup you'd need, and what kinda parts you would need to support that.
