My tach jumps when im accelerating, but it doesn't if the pedal isn't pressed at all and when it is at WOT. Has anyone run into this problem before? It kinda annoying.
Then it was probally just my fuel pump going bad.

I ordered mine from hmotorsonline. The motor looks to be in good condition but I havent gotten it to run properly in a month and a half. I has been into 4 shops, 2 being honda performance. They all think the mechanical timing is wrong. I havent had a chance to crack the valve cover off to see...
Ok... so i took it into a performance shop and they messed around with the igntion timing and the idle screw. Nothing worked. Then he got a volt meter out and test the current on the TPS. IT was reading .52
He said that was high and could be the problem. He said it sould be inbetween .4 and .45...
The TPS and the MAP are correct.
The plug that I cant find where it goes is the Purge Control Solenoid. Does a b16a sir II have this becuase some other guy told me it didnt.

I dont have any mods to the fuel system or the wiring. all i did was extend the o2 senor wires and ran a knock sensor. The ecu doesn't throw any codes so as far as I know everything is hooked up correctly. I replaced the spark plug wires and fuel filter today and still no improvement.
I guess ill check the compression tomorro. How long does it take for the ECU to fully program itself. My friend said his civic bogged for about a week but then quit. But his still pulled hard when it wasn't bogging, mine does not. When it is not bogging it is still lacking power
