i was thinking about doing that, i have not found too many, or i have just been looking in the wrong places, cost, and the fact that i have no clue how to do the swap has alot to do with it as well, any links that you know of?
well its been about two weeks since my civic has been in the shop waiting for the b18c to be swapped in. It is supposed to be done hopefuly tomorrow. I will put some pics up once the swap is done. i am still weighing my options for brakes, i found a killer site for brembo drilled and slotted...
just wondering what kind of brake conversions or upgrades there ae for a 93 dx with b18c1. whaat would be the best deal for brakes and any link to sites would help to. thanks
you could use a delsol that is a vtec. i bought a twin core delsol radiator. you can also use this product called water wetter. it is a liquid to add to your antifreeze that is guarenteed to run 20 degrees cooler.
i ended up buying a jdm ej6 cluster, i liked the white face gauges so i ended up with that. hopefully it will be in soon, and hopefully the motor swap will be done here quickly!!!!
from what i have heard the ebay knockoffs are made with a lesser grade metal. i got my b&m from ebay for 100.00 to me it is worth the cash for the name, id rather be safe with a name brand than fucked trying to shift and the it breaks half way down the shaft due to shitty material.
engine
tranny would be a good choice
ecu
wiring harness
motor mounts
shift linkage
axels are needed
distributer if it doesnt come with the swap
i would also get a new radiator, a dual core delsol radiator will do fine
the jdm gsr is a b18c1, the same as in the u.s. the only thing is the jdm gsr and the itr are both stamped with b18c. if you look at pics the valve covers are different colors. gsr is black, itr is red. there are quite a few sies to pick up a jdm gsr motor. i just purchased mine this past...
i got mine off of SwapShop Racing Performance Parts, Engine Swaps
