yes im sure that would be a beast with a little boost added in or a really nice all motor build as well sometime in the future i may look to do a h2b or g23 build out of my f22b dohc.
yeah and if im not mistaken the f22a compression is also a little lower and you can always do head swaps as well and come out with a frankenstien and get a really nice turn out with that.
no you well have to wire it into the ecu which i havent done before because i am a wearied honda owner that doesnt want vtec lmao. but if you search the fourms you can find out how to wire the vtec in or you can bring up the question in the fourms you started but everyone well tell you to search...
the f22b dohc well bolt right up and well hook up to the wire harness and the ecu but the f22a ecu wont run the motor at its full potential i have heard many stories of the pt6 ecu running the f22b motor better then the p39 ecu and the f22b dohc is non vtec as is the f22b2 and the f22b1 is a vtec.
check this site Tiger Japanese Auto Parts LTD this is where i got my f22b dohc i wish i could tell ya how good of a motor it is but i cant work on it at the moment kinda sprained my ankle lmao and the axle bolts wont come off the car either.
the cheapest ones would be a f22a which is a direct replacement or the f22b dohc which ive seen alot of places that have it cheaper then the f22a but you have to change a few things and might have to replace the ecu to run the car better.
those cars i could already beat with my motor taken out lmao i coulda beat then with my old motor with the blown head gasket a bent valve and all while its overheating. the car is going to have a f22b dohc in it so i know for a fact i can keep up with more hondas and everything.
i believe the f20b was built to be in like a 2.0 racing class or something for the euro accord. and the f20b is a destroked h22 to fit it into the 2.0.
im just curious for when i get my swap done what cars would be a good races for me with the i/h/e and i took out the ac and possibly wont have the power steering either and im gonna try to take some weight out of the car as well idk around how much hp i should roughly have with the mods i have...
yeah if i could get the axel nut off and it would be much easier but i have no air compressor im using a 18inch breaker bar and im trying to find a bar big enough to put over that and a person like twice my size to stand on it lmao. but thats the only thing i have cause ive very tight with money...
hey its been a while since ive last posted i dont have much free time but the motor is ready to come out the mounts are loosened and everything but the damn axels wont come off i know i have to take the axel nut off which isnt going any where ive had to take this off on my last accord and that...
for the dizzy you can rewire it theres a black and yellow wire then a solid yellow one if im not mistaken there is a fourm up on cb7 which shows the wires in a picture http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=81303 i know its for a f22b but it should be the same dizzy. im doing a f22b dohc...
yeah ive read it in another fourm before but im not sure which manifold they used. i would change just the tb but they are differant so im not sure if i can.
im actually just gonna swap over the whole intake mani and swap out the a1 injectors and put the 22b one in it so i shouldnt have to go through any of that cause i only have pretty much hand tools at the moment.
ok so i have to replace the tps on the f22b im not too sure if i could just change over the throttle bodies rather then going through the hassel of drilling into the screws cause i dont have the tools to do so.
damn you got pwned hes probabley one of the most reliable sources of info on this fourm so you just asked a really dumb question cause he explained it all in his reply "unless it was bulit to rev higher" not all motors are gonna deal with things the same way.
ok so on many other sites im reading that the distributor well have to be wired to work as a internal with the coil but well i have to do this if the motor came with the stock f22b distributor?
ok so i think im gonna end up trying to use the stock ecu for a while as on many other sites ive read that it runs pretty good on the ecu and still pulls pretty hard. im gonna try and get some pics of the progress so far could of had the motor in but im kida lacking a hoist.
