Great! I'm glad you've solved the problem. Isn't that easier and cheaper to replace the whole head? I couldn't understand why you were gonna do that when the problem was so minor to figure out. To answer your question, yes! it is bad to have your fan running all the time. It robs horsepower...
Wassup Matt! I'm close to your area Long Beach to be exact and I basically do the same thing u do except not a full garage but I have the necessary tools. I plan to do the same damn thing you're doing with the shop and all. Not that I'm trying to steal your business here, I'm just looking for...
Head bolt = 63 ft/lb +/-2
Cam holders = 22 ft/lb +/-2 and the outside 6mm bolts are 8 ft/lb.
Remember to torque it in 3 steps and follow the seguence, it's usually inside out. If you're using an extension, add a couple more pounds to it to compensate for torque loss.
...only thing I could think of logically, is maybe the heater core went bad and leaked sometimes in the past and collected mildews on the foam inside the dash. Maybe someone's pet mouse ran in there and died. It's a bitch, but if you're planning on keeping that rice *%!@ then pull that dash...
I've ran a G'zer motor with that much compression before with 91 octane and it ran fine. It would be wise to remove the valve cover and double check your valve clearance once more. Remember to set it while the engine is cold. It might've worked its way back a little under those anxious foot...
I don't believe that would effect your vtec in any way knowing that vtec operates on oil pressure. If you have the sensor off of your old engine and you're using the obdII engine harness you should be able to get rid of it with the use of the oil pump the sensor came out of. There's mounting...
Did u modified or try to fix anything prior to the problem? Be a little more specific; these problems don't usually shows up overnite. Verify the code(s) that it's showing and let us know.
I usually use the aftermarket parts from your local auto parts store. They work just as great not to mention the lower prices. There's also brands that makes them from Japan like Standard. It's cheaper too, if not then go with the Bosch. Works just fine.
Okay good, now you've identified that the fan motor still works, we can go on to the next step. Do not take your car to the dealer just yet. Your next step is is to make sure that your thermostat opens at the right temperature. After your coolant gauge shows about half way, feel the upper...
From what you're telling us, it sounds like the problem lies somewhere within the fuel systems. That consist of the fuel pump, and the main PGM-FI relay by the kick panel or sometimes the door. When u key on, u usually hear a bussing noise for a couple of seconds from the fuel pump which is...
No, I did your sister first.lol. Hey bud, if u wanna bypass all the craps to see if your fan motor is working, it's very simple. Disconnect the 2 pins fan connector and jump the 2 wires to 1 negative battery usually BLK for ground and the other 1 to positive battery usually BLK/RED. That...
First off, what kind of intake is this from? I'm assuming off a 94 up integra okay? Do you have both the injector seal ring and the injector insulator? If you do, make sure that the seal ring goes on first then the insulator last. I've never heard of similar problems with RC's or any problem...
That depends on how much $ you're willing to cough up. For low budget engine, u can try the D16Z6 which would probably bolt on with minor mod's. Or if you're middle class, go with the B16's with more mod's and $. If you're a walking piggy bank, go for the B18C's or ITR with about the same...
tdehnel, why what do you mean replacing the stock hood with cf would result in less traction? Have you considered that probably the majority of the fanatics that swap their hoods have more than likely swapped their engine (bigger and heavier) before that? That much difference in weight...
Not to bust your bubbles or anything but 16.4 is just about what a stock Neon runs. You gotta consider every factors though when you're racing; like reaction time, burn out time, etc... I've done 15.5 on my 94 HB, when I just got my car 9 years ago, with just headers and exhaust. Tell you...
