yeah I think he is saying thats what he did to see if the pump was working.

i've seen plugs and they dont look horrible. but if you want it cleaner i'd go with welding as well.

to remove the jet you screw a screw that is close to the diameter of the i.d. of the jet in to it and pull the whole thing out with a pair of pliers.
