So i guess thats what the problem is then, the teeth on the starter wont mesh with the flywheel because the starter is from an automatic gsr.

I just installed a GSR in my 93 EG but the starter that i got with the motor works when i have it out, but as soon as its put in the tranny no dice. I can hear the arm coming out but just wont crank so i am wondering if there is a dff between an auto tranny starter and a manual tranny starter...

Ok i got the old wire harness on now, but there is no hook up on the old harness for the map sensor. Can i use the stock gsr distributor ? it plugs in just fine. When i run the wire from the vtec slnd on the engine where in the ECU do i plug it?

The engine harness plugs in just fine but i have left over plugs with no where to go.

II used the gsr wire harness, should i have taken the the wires off of the EG motor and used them instead?

My friend wants to do a gsr swap into his 2000 civic si, however the motor he picked up did not come with a power steering pump, altenator or the mounting brackets so i wanted to know if the hardware (power steering,altenator+ brackets) on his si d16y8 motor will work on the b18c1?

The motor in the acura EL is a d16y SOHC and the one going in is a b18c1 from a gsr.

I know that you guys in the US dont have these but i am thinking of replacing the d16y with a b18c1 and tranny . It's a 99 acura 1.6 el, not any different from a civc. I just wanted to know how hard this swap would be and if it would be a straight swap?

I just wanna swap my four bolt to five bolt. I need the wheel bearing and hub, what other honda or acura have five bolt pattern hubs that will fit?
