I had the same problem with a swap, a freind of mine cross the wires on the map sensor, it also happend when I left the pin for the map sensor out at the ecu. when you step on the gas it dies out.
Yeah any 88-91 si ecu will work and he won't need a vtec controller unless he just want to control vtec. I did the set up before in CRX with a PR3 and it was pretty quick. I also tried a pm6 and had vafc controller I prefer a vtec ecu even tho I have a vafc it seems alot smoother.
Yeah, if you can find a PR4 or PM6 you should be fine. Try to find a b16a or obdo ls dizzy, you may can even use one from a zc not sure. Just post what you need in the proper forum and these guys will have what you need. I have a ecu or some more stuff just let me know.
You can find a DOHC OBDO dizzy kind of easy is the hatch DX or SI if it is not an SI you will have to find a resistor box, and ecu. You will have to pin 2 wires into connecter A for 2 more injectors like pin a3 and a4 I think. Just look it up here on the swap it has all the ifo you need its...
I have a pr3 I'm throwing code 23 because my knock sensor is not wired yet, and I here and feel vtec kick in never miss a beat, my vafc even confirms it.
Yeah but you are going to have to find a way to activate VTEC I see alot of people sellng the multiport swap here on the site. Get a PM6 and the intake manifold and you might need a si dizzy. Its fairly easy search the reference section here on Hondaswap it will have all the info you need.
Wtf are you saying who said there were OBD1 CRX's I wheel a crx I know there is no obd1 crx and I know it is possible to run obd0 in any honda. I'm saying I don't think he converted a ob2 to obd0. That is what I'm talking about, and yeah you are right he do has the wrong forum. A buddy there is...
No, its the right thread, because he can't be running a 91 si ecu in a 97 EK there is no way anyone would go through the hassle. He just made mistake when he was posting.
Dude I don't think you will receive the response you are looking for, lately it looks like alot of people have been joining the swap just for answers to questions they can't answer about simple tunning. If you have a 91 si it is already OBD0 you will not need a conversion harness, Unless you...
You are going to have to find a obd0 ecu, Pm6 or something I think the ZC ecu is pretty good it has an agressive fuel map. So you are going back from OBD1 to OBD0.
