New to tuning. Swaping B18C1 into 3rd gen Civic

what model is your Civic? - if it isn't the Si model, you will need to swap in the complete fuel system (tank, lines, pump, etc.) from an Si model 3g Civic - Only the Si was fuel injected with a pressurized fuel system - wiring will be somewhat of a nightmare, especially if the car isn't an Si...

    Drive shaft installation trick

are those supposed to be 90-93 Integra axles? - they don't look like any I have ever seen - the ones I have seen look like the picture I posted - IIRC the dimension from the end to the part that fits in the seal is 2 1/8" - should look like picture below when in the intermediate shaft

    1985 Honda CRX Swap

I believe Hasport makes an engine wiring harness for the swap, along with mounts and axles http://hasport.com/store/index.php/mounts/civic/af/b-series-af/afb1.html http://hasport.com/store/tech/afb1.pdf since the B-series engine, transmission, intermediate axle shaft, etc. is quite a bit...

    1985 Honda CRX Swap

it is the Si model - you can swap a B16 or B18 into it - not an easy job - lots of wiring changes needed - in addition to a mount kit, you will need to swap out the front knuckles/hubs for ones from 86-89 Integra - you will need custom axles - the picture below is a turbocharged B-series in the...

    b18a1 swap

is the car the barometric pressure sensor is in the ECU for the B18A1 engines - try a different ECU could also be a problem with the wiring and the code 13 is just a result of the ECU trying to find a possible solution - may not be the problem at all

    having issues with starter relay

no - the blue/black is in the ground circuit - the clutch switch is normally open - when you depress the clutch, you activate the switch which completes the circuit to ground - if you had power on the blue/black, when you depressed the clutch, you would have a direct short which would blow a fuse

whats the best 5 speed cable trans to put in a 91 hatch

yes, there was an HF model CRX in 91 it will work, however, if it is the Si model it will be geared very low which will increase the rpm when driving resulting in a drop in gas mileage

whats the best 5 speed cable trans to put in a 91 hatch

your best bet is probably the transmission from an 89-91 (not 88) CRX DX or Civic DX/LX - you could also use the 89-91 CRX HF which has really long gear ratios, however, it would most likely not help your mpg

    zc dohc+dual carb

our system is kind of elaborate - we have the MSD 6AL ignition with the MSD 8979 Programmable Multi-function Ignition Controller and run the MSD Blaster 3 ignition coil - the 8979 ignition controller controls the ignition and is very versatile and allows us to program a timing curve by setting...

    zc dohc+dual carb

exactly - the D16A1 distributor has two vacuum advance mechanisms on it, along with a centrifugal advance - one mechanism is strictly vacuum but only advances the timing by 6 degrees - the second one is partly controlled by the ECU (which we don't use) through a solenoid that controls the vacuum...

    zc dohc+dual carb

we had the same problem when we converted our ZC to carbs - we tried using the vacuum advance distributor from the 86-87 Integra D16A1 - it would run, but not like we thought it should - we finally spent a bunch of money on an MSD system which works perfectly

    2 Swaps...little help needed

in order for the VTEC to work properly, you need to use the OBD1 VTEC ECU - this means that you need to convert your car to OBD1 - you use your existing chassis harness and your existing D16A6 engine harness - you need to purchase an OBD0 to OBD1 VTEC ECU jumper harness in order to plug your...

    88 CRX Mini me

do you have the rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, lost motion assemblies, valves, springs, timing belt gear, etc. or just a head and camshaft? - if all you have is the head and cam, finding just the other parts would be difficult - you would be better off just purchasing another complete head you...

    88 CRX Mini me

you stated that his original 88 Si distributor won't bolt onto the head, correct? - to me this would mean that the head is from a 92-95 D16Z6 or could be from 92-95 D15Z1 (not a good choice for a mini-me) - his Si distributor would bolt onto a D16Y8 head - wouldn't work for OBD1, but would bolt...

trigger signal to igniter trouble shooting problem

from the pictures, it looks to me like it has an OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness and the engine harness is some kind of OEM harness
