Spring ball bearing seems fine and I've checked for debriss in there but haven't found any. I look at my forks and they all look like they've been messed with! I'm not sure but the seem to have some welding work on them right where the fork connects to its rod
I have it apart and the synchros don't look all that bad but I haven't rebuilt it yet.just trying to figure out the issue.all the sliders move as they should so that's y I'm concerned about other issues within the trany
1)tranny is off the car now
2)shifts in all al gears except 1-2
Wouldn't shift into fist and second regardless of the tranny beig in the car or not
But I have moved the slider and engaged 1-2 on the counter shaft hence my problem.
Ok so I check the synchro for fist and second gear and they all engage smoothly as they should now my question is could there have been a problem with something else?such as the forks not working properly?
Not really sure but I always have heard that u have to do a basic rebuil of internals on the b20 block such as pistons, rods, arp rod bolts,SLEEVES AND BEARINGS WHICH ARE THE MAIN ISSUE.with the b20 so yea it also depends on how you take care of the motor and what kind of abuse it's taking daily!
Thanks for the link to the whole rebuild set! I saw a set of the same synchros but those alone were 275$ but this a way better deal and I wanted to know how to exactly disassemble the counter shaft because I pretty much know how to take apart the main shaft but I wanted to see 1-2 synchro which...
You will definitely need the bracket for the driver side from the 93 teggy but I think the rear t brackets will bolt up fine not to sure I know that the wiring harness that come in the Gsr will not fit your car
You will probably spend another 300-400$ between parts and misc.stuff u might need in the end. But if u want a drop in swap with no prob I suggest an obd1 ls or maybe even a b16 if u want a little more horses and if ur budget allows it. Way easier swaps and basically drop in
I have an extra half shaft but I'm sure you can find most of this stuff at your local wrecker or junkyard.it also depend on what kind of budget your on.
The motor is Obd 2 if it's 96-01. I don't remember ever hearing anything about the IM but all you'll need are axles half shaft tranny because I'm not sure the b20 tranny works. But other than that you should be pretty dropping in a bolt in swap
We need more specific info. Such as what Obd the motor will be.if u plan to do auto or stick? But general part mainly would stay stock. If goin with stick I would say get an ls tranny from a 94-01 integra. Then get the driver side motor mount bracket from the same integra. You'll also need a p75...
