If you want to make it descently fast you should swap the motor with just about any model d16. If you have never swaped a motor before you should probably pay someone to make sure its done right. $$$ if you don't want to spend the money for a swap yet beef up the suspension to your liking.

Make sure the injectors are getting constant 12 volts. If they are just a little off, like 11 volts they will not have enough to keep spraying. As far as I now 12 volts constant is the same for the D16A6.
