I don't think that 230-240 is that far away.
Here's the starting list.
Better headers (Hytech or SMSP or the like)
H23 crank and rods (balanced of course)
Up compression (pistons and combo with H23 crank)
Better cams
Engine management
Better intake and exhaust
This is all pre nitrous too. I...
Yeah, I plan on picking up some sort of engine management. Undecided if it'll be crome, uberdata, hondata or what.
I'll do that at the same time as the other internal changes (here's a hint, compression and stroke for starters!).
Yeah, only 180. My baseline was only 150 so there's something going on. We came up with the assumption that she just isn't breathing right (intake, header, exhaust are all to restrictive).
The baseline run showed the engine running way rich. After tuning the VAFC to keep from running rich...
For free? I'll take it for free! ;)
I've been wanting to take the wing off but thought it was glued on very hard. It was glued but only a little prying was able to separate that w/o incident except for the other hidden bolt! They drilled in the trunk, put this bolt it and then totally...
Can't please everyone!
Wing came with the car and it's glued on bigtime. I tried to take it off...not that hard though. Once I recognized it was glued on (with some strong adhesive), I put the bolts back in and called it a day.
I have a heat gun, just haven't found the patience to do...

These pics don't do the rims any justice though. Plus the front tires are not the right size (not complaining, they where free!). When I get the tires I want...
I'm not worried if he doesn't give me any more. I was just wondering. I should have asked around before hand but live and learn.
I don't let this kind of stuff get to me.
Thanks for you input though! ;)
200? Come on. Be serious now. This job would cost 1500+ at most shops.
I know we should have discussed prior. Our friend gave him an unreal expectation of 300 for the whole job. :o
Well, if it's worth my while, then I like to work on cars.
This one took longer than it should have. An ARP stud broke and I had to wait on a replacement and have the stud removed from the block. Then add in the fact that I do it in my spare time (work and family too).
It...
Well, I don't know the guy personally. He didn't help with any labor either.
No money will be "given back" if the motor dies. There's nothing I can do (or should be held responsible for) as I didn't provide the parts other than labor related. If it was labor/workmanship related, I'll work...
A friend of a friend has an LS/VTEC that has blown a rod (forged rod at that). He removed the head and had it refinished/redone. He delivered the car with the old busted block and tranny still installed, head from the machine shop dissassembled, new JDM head and block and then all necessary...
Yes, the B20a from the 3g ludes and the B20a from 2g ludes and 3g accords are different. JDM B20a 3g lude engines are a direct swap for USDM 3g ludes.
Please check out http://www.preludepower.com for more info
It appears that the prior owner's shop used atleast some of the original wiring from the B20a5 motor as the egr wire colors on the harness side are a green and 2 yellow (I've confirmed this with another B20a5 engine and harness that's stock).
My problem is that I'm getting an EGR code. Now...
I wasn't trying to be smart even. But I'll call it a day on this issue. Back to the thread at hand...
Don't waste your time trying to put it into a civic! ;)
BTW, what you driving now, slammed90lude?
Yeah, that's real mature. You're engine is NOT the prelude b20 so what's your point? You still haven't proved you know anything about a b20a.
And grow up with the name calling...what a way to share some not so useful knowledge
