So i finaly reached a descent shop who do swaps, installs, builds, etc etc. He has a b16 already. So..the theory goes: i give him my car, he does the install, etc etc. Now if i want a b16 all motor, it's 4000$ (with 210hp) ..that's pretty damn expensive in my books, but he's got a good rep...

Isn't the reason why people who buy b16's is their lower compression then the b18s?edit: And the b16s are easier to tune because fo their low compression so it's easy to boost high. And the b18s have higher compression so it's harder to tune to get the same boost levels, you do get more low end...

I have a 00civic that i'm about to swap a b18c1 engine into n turbo it. i have 7grand laying around to do this, i will do the swap myself. Now that's the problem... 7k$ isn't leaving a lot of money for the turbo..and i'm not getting a cheap knock off turbo from ebay. Ofcoarse i'd have to work...
