don't you have to worry about the valve clearance if you put ctr pistons into a lsvtec setup? I've got a lsvtec setup but I'd used b16 pistons but I was thinking about switching them for ctr pistons for higher compression...what do you have build in your head as far as cams and valve,retainers...
head looks fine too me and even thought there was carbon build up you are not goin to slap it on a block anyways if you buy it you will have to do alot of work on it before you can put it on a block so don't come on this thread and complain bout this guys stuff aite....damn I think it's just...
check the oil pan! one of my friends had a dent oil pan on his lsvtec setup and that cause the vtec not to engage! he tried everything until he took a look at his oil pan and replaced it with a new one now vtec works fine but redlines at 7000rpm....don't know why! im thinking that the cams are...
most likely you spung a bearing! that's what happen to my lsvtec setup...had a knocking noise after driving for a while and I replaced the bearing and the same thing happen I guess I was pushing my car too much that when I replace the bearing the cranck was too warn out and that cause the crank...
want to buy a vtec head for b series engines! b16 or gsr will work fine same as type r or ctr heads...about 300 for head and mayb 100 for shipping to 99654? anyone please need one asap.
