still cant figure it out:
we tested for spark its got plenty, checked the timing its good, replaced the plugs, the fuel is around 45 psi, replaced the igniter with a brand new one(on a brand new distributor), its got compression across the cylinders..
anyone know possibly what could be...

yesterday i replaced my old distributor with a new one and since i did it my tach was goin nuts so i figured it was just a loose wire so i pulled off the dizzy cap+rotor and the guard and sure enough the tach wire was barely...
there is a green wire that comes from you distributor and goes through ur fire wall to your gauges that is the wire easiest way to find it is to take ur guages out and look behind the tach then snip it and you can either put a junction if you want to keep ur old tach working and put in a shift...

I am using a new h22a dizz w/ external coil
For future questions the car ran before the swap but had a blown motor

no there is no wire run for vtec on a cx model.... so yah and you can chip a p28 i had mine chipped with a zif on it to, so you can do whatever you want to the ecu.
yah the mini swaps are sweet that would be my first suggestion for you especially if you dont want to spend alot of money on it you can usually pick up the complete swap from tigerjapanese.com or h-motors. Since you can get the whole set up for 600-800 depending on who you go through you jsut...
