ya know it's often hard to see the spark when you run it through the wire. That's why I told him to do that. Did I say anything about jamming the screwdriver up the dist. ass? Don't play me for a fool... fool.
don't attempt the H22. yes it can be done but do you really want to spend a month or two trying to get it in their and working? The B16 will be plenty to pull that 1970lb.(?) car. And theres more aftermarket support for it as well.
I just called a damn junkyard and the bastards told me that the D16a1 is throught the years of 86-89. I told them they were fuckin crazy, and that the D16a3 came in the 88-89. Who's right?
If you search really hard on say yahoo u can find really akward sights dedicated to these cars and they have some info, but not much. Basically theres not much hope at all with this car.
If you search on say yahoo or any decent search engine, you will find many good resources on how to do this. I know you have to have an integra resistor box, extra wire, etc, I really don't know but like I said, their are many walk throughs
The head gasket, yea, maybe, but what kind of gas did he put in? If he put in diesel it should just run like shit.(it burns slower than reg gas. theres your power loss) But I don't know. More details.
Take a screwdriver with a good rubber or wood handle, definetly not metal or plastic. Ok, now stick the end of the screwdriver in the distibuter holes(wire holes) and have someone try to start the car, then slowly pull the screwdriver out of the dist. and see if there is any arc.(blue spark)...
