my buddy is having a problem and i cant figure it out yet he just swaped a b16 1st gen to his civic dx and he converted to obd 1 the car runs and drives but the alternator gets hot and smell like something is burning does he need to change any of the wiring to the alternator? what could be...

you will need the hubs off the teg the hf ones are diffrent and will not work. for the lincage go to any welding shop and get it welded unless you know how to weld pretty good ( i took mine to a machine shop and it woks pretty good) get the axels off the teg and the half shaft.
none oof the above i would get an old datsun 240 260 or a 280z and put a rb26dett with a gts-t tranny to keep it rwd and tune it and have a nice car very powerful.
the body kit is a crappy r34 front bmpr and it makes the car look horrible i dont know what the rest is. how much you wanat for those pices shipped to cali 93215
sell all taht toyota crap and buy yourself a nice ls motor and tranny or maybe even a single cam dseries. might be less expnsive. and you will have a lot of fun with it and its still a honda, its easy to find parts, and it can be smog legal if you play by the rules or bend them. might be faster...

you dont need diffrent hubs the dx will work fine. you need the integras ecu (i think the plug is diffrent than the crx (you might have to depin the plug with a small srew driver if it doesnt fit and use the integra one). depending on mounts you dont have to bang the crap out or your rear cross...
check out the rywire site and they have everithing you need as far as obd conversion and the auto to manual. i personaly got the boomslang and that worked good for me and i just looked at their site and did my auto to manual on my crx.
when i did my ls swap in my crx that was the problem i had and i waould say check your plug wires as for making the car think its in park you have to cut and connect a couple of wires in the center console check rywire.com or something like that they have the auto to manual on a crx it might help.
you can use some stuff from the crx like the map sensor and engiene wiring harness you just have to change some of the plugs to acomodate the new engine. as far as the obd conversion goes try to get a jumper harness for your ecu they even have them for the dizzy.
on the firewall there should be a cable leading to the tranny behind the starter. when i did my swap i had the same problem make sure the cable is in the hole correctly and not just sitting there.
yeah when i rev it i can go around 75or 7600 rpm everything stock exept for the flywheel. i have no idea why it revs this high now all i can think about is the new flywheel. the rev limit is around that im getting a vtec head soon. but this is my dd i dont whant it to f-up. i has anyone had...
