Man, I JUST came back to this forum recently, and after reading through some of the posts, I doubt I'll stay. Sure they asked a question that's been asked a bunch, so ignore it if nothing else, no reason to insult them like that.

Tried checking up on this forum to see if theres anybody needing help w/ 1G's, or maybe a forum with a useful chunk of knowledge that I dont know yet, but its LITTERED with people who didn't read the explanation of this forum;
1G CRX's are 1984-1987, not 88+
Just had to get that off my chest.
Rough running and pop noises could be coming from bad timing, check that as well. My Supra's timing is off a bit right now and it likes to pop and crackle, comes from the valves not being fully closed during the spark.
Valve lash means the amount of space between the rocker assembly and the...
Headgasket shouldn't have caused the overheating. You might want to look into your cooling system. The engine was fresh, word, what about the radiator? Did you replace the water pump as well? Also, did you reuse the headbolts or install fresh ones? The more info you provide the better we...

I have an 85 CRX thats bone stock, rebuilt motor, new everything. I've driven it from Raleigh to Biloxi in a day, and it didn't have any issues... plus multiple 6+ hour trips. Gets about 50mpg on the highway and high 30's around town (37-39). How much cash would you want on top of it.
I have two sets in good condition, but I'm on the east coast.
I wouldn't exactly call them superlight, but they are solid aluminum so will never rust out on you, just dont tag a curb too hard.
If you still have it come mid-July I might just consider that, I love older hondas but am active duty with the air force until then.
It sucks that Glendale is 2500 miles from me, I just cant see making that kind of a trip in a car I just bought.
