Yeah I am not sure where OBX got a bad rap? I have a complete stainless OBX Header, test pipe, and exhaust all the way to the rear where I had a custom muffler/tip welded on. That shit hasn't cracked or rusted in 4 years and I love the sound. Not to mention it was nicely priced.
I recently swapped from DPFI to MPFI and had a stock z6 map sensor on the throttle body. With this map sensor connected the car ran way rich so I used my stock map on the firewall. You see, E85 has a lot less energy. You need a lot more E85 than gas injected or you will end up way lean. In...
This is much more prevalent in the world of 2 strokes. Its MUCH harder to create a true tuned exhaust for a 4 stroke. Its more of an art than a science and requires a lot of work which is why the price is so high. Is it worth it? Not to me, but maybe to others.
Stock internals with a t25 and FMIC. Rumor has it they are good to 8psi with good tuning. ZC's have the strongest rods of the D-series family. Pistons are the weak point. I am wanting this to be a daily so I figure with good cool air and tuning and only 6psi I should have a fairly peppy...
Turbo trim and picts? Brand names/model numbers of FMIC and fuel management? Help me help you man... I am interested but there is a lot of missing info bud.
My apologies, on both of the MPFI intakes I have they are purely a mechanical valve, no electrical connections what so ever. Which makes me wonder why I am not pulling a CEL with my pm6 on my swap? Something doesn't add up.
I have "heard" a lot of horror stories about aftermarket crossmembers for the ef. I decided to stay stock. Do some research before you make a purchase.
thezcr.com Your best bet for ZC info. I am building a 2nd gen ZC (obd1). I plan on putting a mild set of turbo cams in it and running 6lbs. Hopefully with a good tune I can make 160 or so at the wheels and still be fairly reliable.
I am having a hard time finding the correct part number for ARP head bolts for a d15b2. We are replacing the head and figured we might as well use ARP bolts as they aren't that much more spendy. I have seen some folks say they are the same as d16's but I need clarification that they will work so...
