I've only heard the d16z6 head on top of the d15b pm3 block with vtec ecu makes more hp & torque than the stock d16z6. I did that swap, however, the high compression ratio blew my brandless head gasket within 3-4 months. I should have gone with the genuine Honda head gasket during that time...
The low fuel lights light up via the low fuel sensor. The floater is resistance based and only works to move the fuel gauge needle.
I believe your Civic is already wired up for low fuel sensor but your sender lack the low fuel sensor unit. (see pic of sensor, located just next to the floater)
VX engine harness - YES with Z6 ecu & fuel injectors. Change the plugs on the Y8 dizzy to the Z6 ones. Or change the Z6 engine harness dis plugs to the Y8 ones.
Y8 engine harness - YES with Y8 ecu. OBD1 to OBD2 ecu convert harness req'd
That's all i can think of.
I had this experience before. Turned out to be a leaky brandless head gasket. I kept losing a substantial amount coolant with increasing progression after each driving month to the point I needed to top up with each trip. At some starts, I thought the starter jammed but turned out actually there...
Had that experience once. Found out that one or a few rectifier diodes in the alternator were shorted, thereby drawing power from the battery. When this happens it only takes less than half a day to drain out the batt. One simple check is when the engine is cold, the alternator should feel warm...
That's a H22A 92-96 Prelude intake manifold. How was that being able to fit on a B-series head?
There weren't supposed to be holes at the runners or EGR chamber, probably drilled then re-filled.
Anyway its free.
Will work but may not run well.
You can try activating between the 2nd and 3rd stage. Leave the 12-valve 1st stage out, which means powering 12V to the spool valve with the red wire(?) all the time. You will also need to add a vtec oil pressure switch to the spool valve with the green/yellow...
Did I read wrongly? You actually ran your motor without coolant??? You didn't know how fast the engine would fry without coolant? The least you could have is water inside.
I've a neighbour who has an Integra GSR B18C who performed the swap. He found the part numbers for GSR intake dual valve springs P72 to be the same on the Type R exhaust side, same can be said for the 32 retainers P30 & seats PR3.
I understand that if you buy aftermarket camshafts [ie. Toda...
I have a 170ps stock jdm B16A lying around unused for 4 years and a used jdm ITR manifold and header. I am looking to upgrade the camshaft, valvetrain internals. After looking through the list of parts. I am looking to get the CTR intake and ITR exhaust camshafts along with other valvetrain...
An OBD2 B16A manual transmission ecu from the same market where this EK4 came from is highly recommended to save on getting a conversion harness or conversion, as well as avoiding CELs for missing VTEC oil pressure switch and crankshaft position sensor.
EK4 SiR B16A engines from singapore are...
These remote starting devices must be properly installed and certified, as it can miam or kill someone. Luckily the wall and gate isn't somebody's legs, child or pet.
Am running the D15B VTEC + P28 manual transm. Able to get 240 miles on one full tank in full city driving + occasional hard driving too.
Haven't tried with P08 though.
