    Temp Guage Acting Weird

I drove my car for 20 min and I noticed that my temp guage wasn't working. I stepped on the gas kinda hard and noticed that it jumped a little and went up to a little under half way which is normal. After a full stop, it went all the way down again, and then I gased it a little and it went...

    Reverse Lights isn't working

I noticed that my reverse lights don't light up when backing up. It was working before. All my other lights light up except for that. I did an auto/manual swap a few years ago. The fuse is fine and the light bulbs are too. Any ideas on what to check for?

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

I forgot to add that the gray/white smoke is gone. I found out that it means not enough fuel is being delivered to the engine. Thanks again for all that helped. :worthy:

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

I finally got the car working. It was a freakin 15a fuse in the engine bay. It was under "FIE/M." I didn't realize that it included the fuel pump as well. I was looking for "Fuel Pump," but it fell under the "FIE/M." Thanks for telling me to double-check the fuses again. You guys are...

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

Ok, when I get home from work, I'll check all those big ass fuses in the engine bay. I hope one of them is blown or I'm screwed. I'm sure the motor is grounded to the chassis because I remember seeing the wire from the block connected to the chassis. Thanks for your help.

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

I looked in the fuse box engine bay yesterday and I didn't see any fuses that said, "Fuel pump." What is it labeled as? "Heater Relay?" or something like that. I'm going to check it when I get home.

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

I was hoping that it was a fuse, but the fuse is fine. When you turn your car on, you're supposed to hear the fuel pump prime which should pump fuel into the fuel rail. Nothing happens, thus, starting the car is impossible without fuel. I did start the car with some plugs disconnected. I...

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

Yes, I think I might have switched them out accidentally. Why? Does it really matter? Or I think it may be the sealant ring on one of the injectors because I noticed that it was torn. I went ahead and replaced them all. But, after I did that and tightened everything, now the fuel pump won't...

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

Do you think it is a vacuum leak or maybe one of the injectors is not working? If one injector was not working, would the car even start and idle normally? Why would it be emitting heavy clouds of gray smoke out of the exhaust?

Loud Air Noise in Engine Bay

Ok, I think I was able to re-install the injectors. The car starts and idles smooth, but now I hear loud air coming from the engine bay. The air seems to be coming from or around the fuel rail on the right side. I'm not sure what the heck is going on. Did I install the injectors correctly...

High Idle after DSM Injector Re-Install

I have a feeling that you're right. There are 4 black sealant rings at the bottom of the injector. Should I put that on the engine first and then the injector or put the black seal ring on the injector first? Then, there is the o ring that goes on top of the injector which connects to the...

High Idle after DSM Injector Re-Install

Do you think my ECU got fried? it does start, but it idles and climbs higher, ridiculously. I didn't solder the connections, just used electrical tape. Anybody have any ideas because I'm running out of them?

High Idle after DSM Injector Re-Install

After I install my 450cc DSM injectors back in my car, I'm able to start the car, but the idle just climbs higher to like 6,000 RPM. I turn the car off before it happens. What the heck? I'm pretty sure I installed it right. On the resistor box, the red wire attaches to all four yellow/black...

    Passing Smog with Greddy Turbo

Ok, I guess I have no choice, but to remove the turbo and take it to the smog ref. I hope he doesn't give me any hassle since the engine came from an Integra and not a Civic. I appreciate all your help.

    Passing Smog with Greddy Turbo

The LS isn't bar'd yet. Do I absolutely have to do that? I don't really want to go through the hassle. Can't I just smog it without the turbo and hope that the smog techs won't say anything? I do have an intercooler and bov so do you think the smog ref will say no to those? My car is...

    Passing Smog with Greddy Turbo

No shop wants to smog it even with the carb sticker. They see the turbo and the b18B swap and say that they don't want to get in trouble. I think I'm just going to take the turbo out and try to smog it with just the B18b and the LS OBDII ecu. They shouldn't give me any hassle, right? What do...

    Passing Smog with Greddy Turbo

I have a 99 Civic with a B18b Greddy turbo and live in CA. It's time to smog it again. I was running a chipped OBD I ecu, The car has to be OBD II when smogged so I switched it out yesterday with an OBD II ecu and hooked up the crappy blue box fmu. I get a freakin CEL when I drive it for a...

GSR into an 99 Civic DX

I was wondering that if I swap in a GSR motor in my car, would a 99-01 GSR ecu work with that setup? I have heard that getting an oBD II ecu for my car would not work because of the immobilizer problem. Is that true? On the other hand, I did hear that an 00 GSR ecu would work, but I'm not...
